          QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"Don't let yesterday take up too much of today."
  - Will Rogers

 Welcome to Lifebuilder!

Things don't always go the way we planned. We make mistakes. But
the worst mistake is to keep replaying our mistakes like a rerun of a
bad TV soap. So much pain would be alleviated if we were only
 ready to forgive ourselves.

    BUILD YOUR LIFE

    LET GO OF THE PAST

When you find yourself replaying yesterday's errors, ask yourself:
  • What can I learn from this?
  • What will I do differently with the knowledge I have gained?

As psychologist Albert Ellis said: "If you keep saying 'I should have' you land up 'shoulding' all over yourself". Remember what happened to Lot's wife in the Bible. She looked back to lament what she had lost and turned into a pillar of salt. You've been warned!

My favourite mantra to counteract regret is 'I do what I can'. Those words remind me that I did the best that I could at the time, and that given what I now know, I will do better next time. Do what you can now and let go of the past!

Until next week - Create Your Self!
