The Missing Truth
If you have ever read and
listened to material on how to be a success and had the feeling that
there was something missing, but couldn't pinpoint exactly what this 'Missing
Truth' is and want to know, click

Body
"Garbage in, garbage out."
- Unknown
Would you put sugar in your car's fuel tank? No, because you know that
the engine would seize and it would cost you a small fortune and cause
you great inconvenience to have your car fixed. Then why do you choose
to put sugar and various other foods that ultimately cause your own
'engine', your body, to seize and costs you a lot more than your car to
fix, if the damage can be fixed at all? The food we choose to eat has a
huge impact on the way we feel and perform, as it is the fuel for our
bodies and minds, so choose wisely. The problem is that we are not
always sure what the wise way to eat is, as there are so many
conflicting ideas and opinions out there about diet. Your body will
always tell you what is good and bad for it, but we are not always tuned
into our bodies and so we need some guidance to start with. Try
eating the way we suggest below for a week and monitor the difference in
your mood, energy level and performance compared with your normal
states. Unless you are eating this way already, we can promise that you
will be astonished at the difference!
Exercise
At
every meal or snack, cut out all starches (bread, pasta,
rice, potatoes, maize, etc.) and replace them with a bowl of cooked
oatmeal or oat bran (at breakfast) or double the quantity of fruit and /
or vegetables (at lunch and dinner). Also have a decent portion of
protein (a portion of low-fat meat that would just cover the palm of
your hand, for example) and some monounsaturated fat (provided by
olive oil, nuts and avocadoes) at every meal. Do not let more than 5
hours pass between meals or snacks, have 3 main meals and 2 snacks
during the day and pay close attention to your energy levels in the
times between meals. Give us your feedback on how you felt during the
week by clicking
here and sending the email that pops up.

Mind
The mind, like the body, needs to be
regularly exercised to stay sharp and in shape. However, most of us
allow the mind's muscles to become flabby and out of shape through lack
of use, or use in the wrong way, contributing to Alzheimers, senile
dementia and other mental disorders that afflict so many in our society
as they get older. Do some or all of the following exercises and
practices regularly to make sure the the saw of your mind stays
sharp and you are never afflicted by one of these diseases.
Exercises
- Instead of writing names,
numbers or lists of things to do down, make a conscious
effort to remember them using mnemonics
or other memory aids
- Read a well-written book
in which you don't understand all the words for 15 minutes
every day, and look up the words you don't understand in a
dictionary (try 'The Name of the Rose' by Umberto Eco if you
are really looking to expand your vocabulary!)
- Complete a Sudoku
puzzle once a week

Heart and Soul
"If you start to think the problem is ‘out there,’ stop yourself. That thought is the problem."
- Stephen Covey
Absolutely everything that happens in our lives has a spiritual cause.
Thoughts, emotions and events we experience on the mental, emotional and physical
levels are only the manifested effects of our underlying spiritual
state.
When you are struggling with any challenge, whether it be ill health, a lack of money, a lost job, relationships, an
accident - whatever it may be - we need to search our hearts and souls for the spiritual
cause so we can find our way out of the situation. Ask yourrself, "What quality does my soul want me to live more fully?"
The answer will always be LOVE in one shape or form!
