Lifebuilder New Edition 2 - 14/09/2006

Create a Life of Balanced Success

Hi

Welcome to the second edition of the new Lifebuilder!
In this edition, we talk about applied kinesiology, which is a relatively new field of study that relates the body, and specifically, the muscle strength in various parts of the body, to the mind, the emotions and the soul. It’s a science that allows us to quantify our level of emotional and spiritual development for the first time by measuring muscle strength and the health of the overall body, allowing us to measure and improve the unity or congruence of our bodies, minds, hearts and souls, which is the essence of leading a successful life.

We also feature information about a new coaching and mentorship programme to help you on your journey of success and two events you can attend to learn how to create financial and other forms of wealth in your life. Enjoy!

Body

The basic premise of applied kinesiology is that the muscles in the body are strong when we think true, positive, uplifting, life affirming thoughts and weak when we think false, negative, depressing, life negating thoughts. The best way to illustrate this is through a simple exercise you can do:

Exercise

Hold the thumb and forefinger of your right hand together so they make a circle. Take the forefinger of the other hand, put it inside this circle and try to break the thumb and forefinger of the other hand apart while you think a true thought, such as that your name is what it is. Then repeat the exercise, but this time think a thought that is clearly untrue, such as that your name is someone else's name.

You can repeat this exercise for any thought or decision you have to take to test its truth, positiveness and rightness for you. It will help you tap into your intuitive intelligence that always knows what's best for you and raise your awareness of your thinking - one of the keys to living a successful and balanced life. Give us your feedback on your results if you would like to by replying to this email .

Mind

If you did the above exercise properly, you can see how directly the body and mind are linked. The truth is that negative thoughts produce a state of dis-ease in both the mind and the body, which manifests in the various diseases and ailments of the body over time. Scientific studies confirm that happy, positive, optimistic people are far healthier than people who are stressed, worried and anxious. Start to become aware of your thoughts and change the negative thoughts into positive thoughts by practising the following exercises regularly:

Exercises

  • Wear an elastic band around your wrist and snap it every time you catch yourself thinking a negative thought.
  • Whenever you feel yourself starting a chain reaction of negative thoughts, close your eyes (unless you are driving!) and take 10 deep breaths in and out through your nose, focusing all your attention on your breathing (click here to learn how to do this properly)
  • For particularly stubborn negative thoughts that constantly distract you (or habits such as smoking, eating excessively, etc.), set aside 10 minutes of 'quality time' at a specific time every day to focus completely on the thought or habit and all the emotions and physical reactions it produces; for the rest of the day, do not allow yourself to think that thought or indulge in that habit by telling yourself that the time to do it is not now, but during the 10 minutes you have allotted to it.

Try these exercises and please give us your feedback on your results by replying to this email.

Heart and Soul

By using applied kinesiology, Dr. David Hawkins has developed a scale of human consciousness that calibrates the level of consciousness for the first time in human history and relates it directly to the person's view of God and life, their emotional state and the process whereby this consciousness is experienced. This is the first scale by which we can truly measure a person's happiness and therefore, their success in life. Click here to see how you measure up, and here to read more about Dr. Hawkins and his work. He has written several astonishing books, including Power vs. Force and The Eye of the I, which are both highly recommended reading if you want to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and life.
