Hi, welcome to Lifebuilder!

I used to play the violin. In public, I got so nervous, I could barely hold a note. Nobody could make that instrument sound more like a shrieking woman in the throes of death than me! The humiliation was excruciating. Eventually I gave up. It wasn’t the fear of failure; it was the fear of embarrassment. 

We need to be more forgiving of ourselves. Nobody emerges from the womb great at anything. It takes practice, trial, error and often a bit of embarrassment to attain excellence. Give yourself permission to screw up and you’ll be much more likely to stick it out and eventually succeed.
