People are not machines; do not assume that when you ask them to do something, it will be done. Like you, they are inundated with information. You may need to remind them a few times and check that they understand in the same way you do. 

If you are the one delegating, you are the one ultimately responsible. That’s right, if they don’t do it, it’s your responsibility! That is, it’s your ‘response ability’. Respond with persistence, patience and, if you want to grow and protect that relationship, politeness.
